About The Program
The DBT Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) 2025-26 is offered by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. It offers hands-on training for Indian biotech/bioinformatics students aiming to start their careers in the industry. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of up to ₹10,000 and other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- hold a B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc./M.Tech./M.VSc./MBA degree in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics OR
- be admitted to a DBT postgraduate teaching program in Biotechnology
- have earned their degree from a recognised Indian institution
- have acquired a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grades in the year 2023, 2024, or 2025
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:-
- A stipend of ₹10,000 per month after completion.
- A minimum stipend of ₹9,000 per month for the period of training.
- Apprenticeship Certificate after successful completion and assessment.

- Signature in JPEG format
- Self-attested copy of the final certificate/mark-sheet of graduation and post-graduation, indicating the cumulative percentage of marks or CGPA
- Debit Card/Credit card/UPI or internet banking details
Note:- All documents must be in a PDF format and should not exceed a file size of 2 MB.
