About The Program
D. K. Bhave Scholarship 2026 is an opportunity offered by the Savitribai Phule Pune University for engineering graduates who have secured "Confirmed Admission" for a master's degree in Engineering and Technology in any foreign accredited university in the USA/Canada/Germany/England. This scholarship is intended to supplement, not replace, a student's funding. It covers a maximum of 50% of the total estimated first-year cost for a Master's degree program in Engineering.

To be eligible, the applicant must:-
- be a graduate of the Engineering Faculty of Savitribai Phule Pune University, or be a final year student pursuing a B.E. or B.Tech degree (in any branch) at an NBA-accredited institute within the PMC or PCMC area
- have secured a confirmed admission based on merit for a master's degree in Engineering and Technology at an accredited university in USA/Canada/Germany/England/Australia/ New Zealand/ Singapore/ Countries included in the European Union
- have maintained a minimum academic record of a B grade or higher
Note:- Students already enrolled in a Master's degree program in Engineering abroad are not eligible.
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive a maximum of 50% of the total estimated first-year cost for a Master's degree program in Engineering. This cost includes tuition, books, room and board, and incidental expenses, as determined by the admitting university, minus any financial aid awarded by the university.
Note:- The scholarship excludes travel, visa fees, GRE or other exam fees, and application fees. Funds are sent directly to the chosen university to benefit the recipient.

- 1-2 pages written statement of purpose with the applicant's signature
- Copy of the confirmed admission letter issued by the concerned university or institute
- Final-year marksheet of the B.E./B.Tech. degree or 7th semester marksheet, if final year marksheet is not available
- Copies of the following documents:
- Passport
- PAN Card
- Aadhaar Card
- Copy of a permanent address proof (e.g., electricity bill, telephone bill)
- Parent's Aadhaar card copy
- Parent's address proof containing a detailed postal address
- Documentation of any achievements during the B.E./B.Tech. program (excluding research papers). This could include certificates of participation or competition wins.
- I-20 form (if available)

- The student is required to submit an academic progress report along with official transcripts to Savitribai Phule Pune University.
- If a candidate fails to upload a single file containing the required documents properly, their application will be rejected and not considered for further processing.
- Recipients of this scholarship are expected to return to India after completing their two-year Master's degree program.
- If the student chooses not to return to India, they must repay the full scholarship amount to Savitabi Phule Pune University. Please note: There is no interest charged on this repayment.
- Scholarship recipients who return to India after their studies and work in their field for at least five years will be exempt from repaying the scholarship.
- Selection and Undertaking:
- The selection committee of Savitribai Phule Pune University will make the decision regarding the scholarship return.
- As a condition of receiving the scholarship, students must sign an undertaking with the university stating their commitment to return to India after completing their two-year degree program.
- If required by the university, scholarship recipients who choose to return to India must submit relevant documentation (e.g., a certificate from an Indian company, nature of work, duration of employment, and passport) to verify their return and compliance with the scholarship terms. The specific format for these documents will be provided by the university.
- Selected candidates (after the initial screening process) for the final interview will need to bring hard copies of their application materials to the interview.
