About The Program
The Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme (CMFS), Bihar 2026, is a major initiative by the Government of Bihar in partnership with IIM Bodh Gaya. It aims to attract talented young professionals to enhance governance, policy formulation, and administrative efficiency. Selected candidates will receive an honorarium of ₹80,000 to ₹1,50,000 per month and other benefits.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a domicile of Bihar
- be 45 years or younger
- hold a Postgraduate (Master’s) degree in Management, Policy, Development, Regional Planning, Public Administration, Science and Technology, and allied fields with a minimum of 55% marks
- hold valid test scores in CMAT/GMAT/GATE/GRE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET
Note: Applicants holding Master’s degrees from any Institutions of National Importance (INI), Central Universities, and National Law Universities (NLU) are exempted from submission of the test scores.
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:
- A fixed monthly honorarium of ₹80,000 - ₹1,50,000 per month, commensurate with their attachment office level and experience.
- A Post Graduate Certificate in Public Policy and Good Governance upon completion.
- A work experience letter.
- Learning, mentorship and review support throughout the fellowship duration.
