About The Program
CBPS Research Fellowship 2026-27 is offered by the Centre for Budget and Policy Studies (CBPS) to undergraduate students. The fellowship helps scholars enhance research skills in education, gender, governance, health and nutrition, public finance, livelihoods, and social security. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹25,000 with other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- have completed a Bachelor’s degree or are in their final year of a UG degree
Note: CBPS encourages applications from historically underrepresented groups, including those based on class, caste, gender, religion, linguistic affiliation, and first-generation scholars. Scholars from diverse disciplines and methodologies are invited.
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive:
- ₹25,000 stipend per month
- Access to office spaces, internet, and library
- Participation in in-house talks, seminars, and events
Note: The fellowship does not provide funds for housing, transportation, or any other financial support.
