About The Program
The BIT Summer Internship Program for Advanced Research 2026 is an opportunity provided by the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, to Undergraduate and post-graduate students from universities in India and abroad. This 2-month internship provides an opportunity for the students to work and gain practical knowledge under the guidance of faculty members of BIT-Mesra. The selected candidates will receive variable benefits.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be UG/PG students from universities in India and abroad who completed their 2nd year, OR
- be UG/PG graduates who have completed their graduation not more than 6 months ago
- have secured at least 60% aggregate or a CGPA of 6.32/10 at all academic levels
Benefits
Upon successful completion, interns will receive:
- Internship Completion Certificate from BIT Mesra.
- Letter of Recommendation (LOR) for outstanding performers.
- Opportunity to publish research findings in collaboration with BIT faculty.

- Hostel accommodation is available free of cost for external students. However, limited seats are available.
- Mess and food facilities are chargeable.
- Depending on the project, some students might be invited for an online interview.
