About The Program
The Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025 offers generous funding and personalised support to outstanding scientists and scholars in any academic discipline. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of up to ILS 20,000.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- hold a PhD degree (signified by the date on their diploma) obtained no earlier than 1 November 2022, in a country except Israel
- not have received an academic degree in an Israeli institution
- not have begun a postdoctoral position in Israel before 1 September 2025
- have secured an academic sponsor and will perform their postdoctoral research at one of the following Israeli institutions:
- Bar-Ilan University
- Ben-Gurion University of the Negev
- Reichman University, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology
- Tel Aviv University
- The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
- University of Haifa
- Weizmann Institute of Science
Note:-
- Allowances are made for parental or medical leave or other career interruptions.
- Applicants in a PhD program may apply if they successfully defend their dissertation by 1st June 2026. Official documentation of the defence date is required.
- Former visiting and/or exchange students to Israel are eligible to apply.
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:-
- A stipend of ILS 14,000 per month.
- A research grant of ILS 20,000 per year.
The fellowship is offered for two years. Renewal for a third year will be considered favourably based on a competitive evaluation process.
