About The Program

Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships, ICGEB, New Delhi 2026 is an opportunity offered by the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) for Ph.D. degree holders. The opportunity is for highly motivated scientists who are willing to pursue postdoctoral research in a world-class scientific environment. The selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of US$ 1,749and other benefits.

To be eligible, the applicant must - 

  • be a national of an ICGEB Member State
  • hold a recent Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences or have at least 3 years of research experience
  • have a good working knowledge of the English language, supported by a proficiency certificate (TOEFL, Cambridge certificate or equivalent) 
    (Note: Preference is for candidates below 35 years of age.)
Benefits

The selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of US$ 1,749.

  • Travel expenses from the applicant's home country to the ICGEB lab at the beginning of the fellowship and a return travel provision upon completion of the fellowship

  • Academic records (Ph.D. degree certificate, issued by the degree-granting University and bearing the official seal/s and signatures, to be submitted in the original language accompanied by an official English translation of each document).
  • Written Statement from the ICGEB Group Leader
  • A valid identification document (passport or identity card)
  • English Certificate (TOEFL, Cambridge or similar) [Note:- This document is not requested when scholastic education has been undertaken in English]
How can you apply?

The applicants can apply for the fellowship by using the below-mentioned steps - 

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id.)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the page.
Step 4: Click on the 'Sign Up' button. Fill in all the details in the registration form and tick the authorization related to the Data Protection Policy. (Note - If the applicant already has an account, kindly login using valid credentials.)
Step 5: Click on 'Apply for an ICGEB Fellowship' and you will be redirected to a page displaying all fellowship opportunities currently open at ICGEB. 
Step 6: Select 'Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships' and click on the green colour 'Submit Expression of Interest' button. 
Step 7: Fill in all the mentioned details abd click 'Submit Expression of Interest'
Step 8: On successful submission of the expression of interest, you will receive an email inviting you to complete your application.
Step 9: Log in to your account and proceed with your application.

  • ICGEB makes no financial provision, nor can it provide administrative support for family members of participants in the program.
  • Support for participation in meetings and courses is generally provided by the Group Leader/PI.
  • Not required when scholastic education has been undertaken in English.
