About The Program

The AICTE Productization Fellowship (APF) 2026 is an opportunity provided by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to students from AICTE approved institutions. It aims to nurture the young, innovative minds that can bring about a positive change in the world we live in. The selected students will receive a fellowship of up to ₹4.94 lakhs per annum.  
 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Always Open

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a student or a team of students from AICTE approved Institutions or University Departments.
  • be a full‑time student pursuing an undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral programme in a Higher Education Institution (HEI).
  • apply as passed‑out students only if they have completed their course/program from an AICTE approved Institution or University Department within the last two years.
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive:

  • A monthly stipend of 37,000 per month for a maximum of one year
  • An annual contingency grant of ₹50,000

(Note: Only one innovative product development project proposal from a student or team of students will be supported for a minimum period of one year, either during the programme in which they are enrolled in the HEI or after its completion, provided they remain associated with an incubation center in any AICTE‑approved institute.)

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be selected based on the evaluation of the proposal submitted by an expert committee constituted by AICTE.

Terms and Conditions
  • Each team member must  obtain a bonafide certificate from the respective institute in case the team consists of students from different HEIs.
  • A team can normally have up to 3 members for one innovative product development proposal.
  • In special or exceptional situations, a 4-member team may also be allowed.
  • The project must be at least at the Proof of Concept (POC) stage.
  • Projects that are only at the idea stage will not be accepted.
