Ahimsa Fellowship 2024 is an opportunity offered by the Mercy For Animals India Foundation for graduate degree holders. The 8-month full-time fellowship aims to create a network of effective animal protection leaders adapting to working closely with state governments and district administrations to enforce animal protection laws in India. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of up to ₹20,000 and other benefits.
Ahimsa fellowship opportunity requires trained professionals who can capably assist the Government in fulfilling its statutory duties through systemic apparatuses like State Animal Welfare Boards, Societies For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Infirmaries, Slaughterhouse Monitoring Committees, Animal Birth Control Monitoring Committees etc.

Deadline17-Jul-2024 Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be an Indian citizen
- have a graduation degree in any discipline
- be between 21 and 39 years of age as of 31 December 2024
- have good communication skills (English and a regional language)
- be available to attend the 8-month duration of the fellowship programme
Note:- Applicants must thoroughly go through the FAQs before proceeding to the application form.
Benefits The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 for the first 2 months and after that, ₹20,000 (for the next 6 months).

How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the opportunity by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Apply Now' button and click on it.
Step 4: Click on the 'Applicant/Fellow Sign-Up' tab.
Step 5: Fill in the required details, upload the photograph and submit.
Step 6: Once registered, click on the 'Applicant/Fellow Login' tab.
Step 7: Enter Username, password and login.
Step 8: Fill in the application form consisting of 5 sub-sections (including personal details).
Step 9: Once applicant have completed filling out the entire form, lock your form and submit it.

Selection Criteria
The selection process has three following stages:
- Stage 1 - Evaluation of the online application form.
- Stage 2 - Applicants who have cleared stage 1 will be invited for a virtual interview.
- Stage 3 - Online assessment will be provided to candidates who clear the interview.
- Stage 4 - Candidates who have performed well in the assessment will proceed to the panel interview.
Once the documentation is finalised, the selected candidates secure a spot in Cohort 4 (2024–25) of the Ahimsa Fellowship.
