Young Professionals Programme for Legal Empowerment (YPPLE) 2022 is an opportunity offered by the Centre of Social Justice to young law graduates/legal professionals who wish to pursue a career in the field of human rights as lawyers, practitioners, researchers or academics. During the fellowship period, each individual will spend a substantial duration in the field areas and the remaining time will be dedicated to research and writing, reflections, inputs and capacity building. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of INR 33,000 per month.

- be a young law graduate/legal professional
- willing to engage with field realities, live in challenging conditions and travel extensively
- display a strong drive, motivation and commitment towards working for social change
Benefits A stipend of INR 33,000 per month will be paid to the selected candidates. The program is designed as a two-year engagement. At the end of the mandatory one-year commitment, candidates will have the option to either continue working with CSJ or opt-out.

- A Statement of Purpose detailing motivations and reasons for applying to the program. [Note - Candidates must also clearly specify their areas of interest and expectations from the Organization. (1,000 words)]

Selection Criteria
The candidates will be shortlisted based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria. The shortlisted candidates will be contacted further for a short interview followed by a two-day selection process at the Ahmedabad office. The final selected candidates will be invited for a one-month probation period. The organization will confirm the selection of candidates for the program based on an appraisal of their performance during the month.
