About The Program

Faculty of Science, York University invites applications for York Science Scholars Award 2021 from all applicants for admission at the university. The aim of this award is to nurture the intellectual and career development of high-achieving, passionate science students entering the Faculty. Selected candidates will get CAD 10,000.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be an international student
  • Have applied for entrance to the York University Faculty of Science for full-time undergraduate study starting in Fall 2020
  • Meet the English language proficiency requirement
Benefits

  • A guaranteed AUD 5,000 paid summer research position for the summer following a student’s first year, and

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on academic achievement, demonstrated passion, extracurricular activities and English language score.

Terms and Conditions
  • Newly enrolled first-year Faculty of Science students are eligible to receive this award.
  • Competitive applications tend to have a minimum average of A- (80%, or its equivalent) and higher.
  • In addition to this award, candidates to the Faculty of Science automatically receive consideration to a number of entrance awards, including an additional CAD 2,000 for entering science students who have a 90%+ final average.
