About The Program

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations invites entries for World Food Day Poster Contest 2017, from children and youth of 5 to 19 years of age living in different parts of the world. The theme of World Food Day is 'Change in the future of migration. Invest in food security and rural development'. This contest urges the contestants to use their imaginations and ideas on the given theme to make their posters.

To be eligible for the contest, an applicant must -

  • Be a child or youth between the ages of 5 and 19 years, living in any part of the world. 

Note: Minor applicants necessarily need to have the permission of their parents or legal guardians to participate in the contest. 

 

How can you apply?

The eligible candidates can apply through following steps -
Step 1: Click here to open the application form. 
Step 2: Fill in all the necessary details.
Step 3: Upload the poster. 
Step 4: Finally, submit the application form.

 

Terms and Conditions
  • The participation to this contest is free of charge. 
  • The participants will be categorised into different categories based on their ages - 5-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-15 years and 16-19 years. 
  • One participant can make only one entry. 
  • Posters can be drawn, sketched or painted with the help of pencils, pens, charcoal or crayons or oil, watercolour or acrylic paint. The digitally created artwork is also acceptable. However, entries in the form of photographs are not allowed. 
  • No text should be included in the poster entries. In case, if the text is being used, it should be not more than 25 words or 100 characters. For Japanese and Chinese languages, the text should not exceed 40 characters. 
  • Languages permitted in this contest include English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Italian, Chinese and Russian. 
  • The poster entries should be submitted on an A4 sheet or 8.5 inches by 11 inches sheet. 
  • All digital files should be saved in JPEG format.
