- The applicant must be born on or after 1 October 1986.
- The applicant must hold a master's or Ph.D degree and relevant work experience.
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate may be proficient in one or more of the working languages of WBG which are Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
- The applicant should have specialisation in a field relevant to the WBG Technical/Operations such as economics, finance, public health, agriculture, education, etc.
- The applicant must have at least 3 years of professional experience in the field of development or continued academic study at the doctoral level.
- Also, the candidate must show commitment and passion for international development, and possess excellent academic records.
- The applicant should have relevant international development country experience.

Selection Criteria
- Applications of all the applicants are reviewed in the first stage of the selection process.
- In the second round, the selected candidates undergo technical review on the basis of which they are selected for interviews.
- During the interview round, selected applicants are evaluated on the basis of client orientation, professional expertise and team leadership.

- Applicant needs to submit an application essay in less than 1000 words on 'how would the applicant contribute to meet the WBG goals of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity?'
