About The Program

The WISDOM Educational Foundation Scholarship 2019 is a scholarship examination for mathematics and science conducted in different districts of Maharashtra. The aim of the programme is to develop the mathematics and science talent of students. The exam clears the basic concepts of students that in turn proves helpful during other competitive exams.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

Students of Class 3 to 8 are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Benefits

Based on merit, a total of 100 students will be selected for the scholarship. The scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:

  • The 1st rank holder will receive INR 2000.
  • The 2nd rank holder will receive INR 1500.
  • The 3rd rank holder will receive INR 1200.
  • The 4th rank holder will receive INR 1000.
  • The 5th rank holder will receive INR 800.
  • The 6th rank holder will receive INR 700.
  • The 7th rank holder will receive INR 600.
  • The 8th rank holder will receive INR 500.
  • The 9th rank holder will receive INR 400.
  • The 10th rank holder will receive INR 300.
  • The 11th to 25th rank holders will receive INR 200 each.
  • The 26th to 50th rank holders will receive INR 150 each.
  • The 51st to 75th rank holders will receive INR 125 each.
  • The 76th to 100th rank holders will receive INR 100 each.

Note: Along with monetary benefits, the rank holders will also receive merit certificates. The first three rank holders will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

How can you apply?

The students can apply for this scholarship through the following steps:

Step 1: Visit the page here and download the application form.
Step 2: Take a print out of the application form and fill in the required details.
Step 3: The applicant can choose to appear for the mathematics exam or the science exam or both, and can mention the same on the application form.
Step 4: Attach a demand draft of the applicable registration fee. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of 'WISDOM BOOKS' payable at Pune.
Step 5: Alternatively, the fee can also be paid online or by using net banking. The details can be found here.
Step 6: Send the filled application form along with the demand draft to the following address-

Note:  The application fee for students applying through the institute is INR 300 and the fee is INR 350 for students applying individually.

Selection Criteria

The winners will be selected purely based on merit in the exam.

Terms and Conditions
  • The exam will be of 100 marks in total.
  • For mathematics, the duration of the exam will be 90 minutes, while it will be 70 minutes for the science exam.
  • There will be 50 objective-type questions with each question carrying 2 marks for mathematics and 100 questions carrying a weight of 1 mark each for science.
  • The answers need to be marked with blue or black ball pen on the provided OMR sheet.
  • Students can get study material and books to prepare for the exam. More details about ordering these books can be found here.
  • The applicants have the provision to apply for reassessment and revaluation of marks for a nominal fee.
  • The passing and merit certificates will be delivered to applicants by 1st August 2019.

FAQ's

Q. Is it necessary to appear through school?
A. No. It is not necessary. The students can apply privately too.

Q. Can we use spare paper for rough work in the exam hall?
A. No. It is not allowed to use any spare paper during the exam. Instead, the student can use the space provided for rough work.

Q. Why there is a difference between registration fees for students appearing through schools and private students?
A. The students who register through school get all their documents through school only. However, for private students, the documents need to be delivered at their correspondence address. To cover the extra cost, there is a difference in the application fee.
