About The Program
VNIT Nagpur Electronics & Communication Engineering Department (ECED) Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is a research opportunity offered to B.E./B.Tech. and M.Tech./M.E./M.S. degree holders. The fellow is required to work in a funded research project titled - “Development of Fully-Automated Liver Cancer Detection and Severity Estimation System from H&E Stained Histopathological Images Using Deep Learning-based Image Processing Methods”. The selected fellow will receive a consolidated fellowship of the first two years INR 31,000 per month and INR 35,000 per month for the 3rd year.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Hold first-class B.E./B.Tech. and M.Tech./M.E./M.S. degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent streams in relevant areas
- Have a qualified GATE score
Desirable Qualifications -
- Have a good academic record and knowledge in the relevant area (Digital image processing, Machine learning, MATLAB and Python programming, Cloud computing, API interfacing)
- Have prior work experience in the area of Biomedical Image Processing

Terms and Conditions
- Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email and will have to appear for a written test and/or interview on the date as communicated through email.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- The appointment will be given initially for six months, which is extendable for another six months up to a maximum of 3 years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier, solely based on the satisfactory performance of the candidate.
