About The Program
VNIT Nagpur Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) Junior Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to postgraduate degree holders. The fellows are required to work in a funded research project titled, “High-Frequency Planar Magnetics for Renewable Energy System and Electric Vehicle Battery Charging under Solar Energy Research and Development (SERD-2019) programme". The selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of the first two years INR 31,000 per month plus 16% HRA per month) and the next one-year INR 35,000 per month plus 16% HRA.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be 30 years of age
- Hold an M.Tech/M.E. degree (GATE qualified in past) in Power Electronics and Drives/Power System/Energy Systems and related specialization with a thesis in the area of Power Electronics/Power System/Electric Vehicles/Renewables
Desirable Qualifications:
- Analytical and experimental activities during M.Tech. degree for the development in Power Electronics/Power Systems with renewable sources
- Have concluding understanding; knowledge of PCB design and experience with technical software/tools (such as PSIM, MATLAB, Code-composer) for the simulation studies, and microcontrollers for the implementation of control

- The student will have the opportunity to apply for Ph.D. Program with Fellowship from the project.
