About The Program
Vellore Institute of Technology School of Biosciences and Technology (SBST) Junior Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to M.Tech/M.Sc. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled - “Designing and Development of Rational Based Peptide Inhibitors Against Alpha-synuclein Aggregates for the Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease". The qualified candidate will receive a stipend of INR 31,000 per month plus 8% HRA.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Be 28 years of age
- Hold an M.Tech/M.Sc. degree (Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or any related discipline in Life Sciences) with CSIR- NET/GATE qualification
Desirable Experience (if any) :
- Have knowledge in Neurodegenerative Disease, Molecular Modelling, Molecular Simulation, Biochemical Characterization, Biochemical Assay, and experience in technical writing
Benefits
The qualified candidate will receive a stipend of INR 31,000 per month plus 8% HRA.
Note - The salary will be provided as per the university norms for Non-NET/GATE candidates.
