About The Program

Vedavalli Govindachari, is the mother of ShikshaDaan's co-founder V G Krishnan. Her biggest dream was to continue her education and become a lawyer but that dream remained unfulfilled due to family constraints. She passed away peacefully on 8th of June 2017. Krishnan and Bindu would like to remember her by launching a scholarship called "Vedavalli's ShikshaDaan" to fund a girl student pursuing her degree in law. Amma was a huge influence on all of us and we are sure she will be thrilled to see that many other young girls will fulfill her dream and become lawyers.
