About The Program

Veda Vyasa Scheme for Vedic Education (VV-VE), Andhra Pradesh 2018-19 invites applications from students who belong to Brahmin community of Andhra Pradesh and are pursuing full-time Vedic Education. This scholarship provides financial assistance to the selected students in order to encourage Vedic Education.

 

EligibilityDeadline Date : Closed
  • The applicant must fall in the age group of 8 to 19 years.
  • The applicant and his/her parents must be from a Brahmin community and the parents must reside in Andhra Pradesh.
  • The applicant must be pursuing a full-time Vedic course in any Private Veda Patasala registered with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) or Endowments Department of Andhra Pradesh or enlisted by the A.P. Brahmin Welfare Corporation.
  • If the student is receiving lodging and boarding expenses from TTD/Endowments Department, he/she is not eligible for this scholarship.

Documents
  • Applicant applying for the scholarship needs to upload the scanned copies of the following documents in PDF format with a maximum size of 250 kb :
  • Applicant's Aadhaar card
  • Caste certificate issued by MeeSeva/ Revenue Authorities
  • Study certificate from Vedic School containing the following details:
    • Full name of the Vedic School where the applicant is studying, indicating the registration number with TTD / Endowments Dept.
    • Applicant's full name
    • Full name of the parent of the applicant
    • Name of the course which the applicant is pursuing currently
    • Month and Year of the start date of the course
    • Month & year of the end date of the course
  • Bank account passbook in the applicant's name (must be in Andhra Bank or SBI)
  • Applicant's passport size photograph (in JPEG format)

The application for the scholarship can be submitted online only. Follow the steps mentioned below to complete the application process.

Selection Criteria

State Level Selection Committee (SLSC) of ABC shortlists and finalizes applicants for the receipt of the scholarship.

  • The financial assistance will be credited online to the bank accounts of the selected students, starting from the subsequent month of registration.
  • Attendance / Confirmation of continuation of a student in the course shall be certified by the Vedic School, once in every three months, i.e., January, April, July and October of every year.
