Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship 2021 is an opportunity for meritorious students who demonstrate both leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in Social Science, Natural Science, Humanities, Medical, and Engineering. The selected candidates will be motivated through this scholarship to pursue a doctoral degree. The students will receive a benefit of CAD 50,000 per year for up to three years.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be nominated by a Canadian University for doctoral study
- Not have completed more than 20 months of full-time study in their doctoral program as of May 1, 2022
- Have secured a first-class aggregate in each of the last two years of full-time study or equivalent
- Be a permanent resident of Canada, a Canadian citizen, or an International student
- Not hold Tri-Agency Tri-Agency scholarship funding for the doctoral program
Benefits The selected scholars will receive CAD 50,000 per year for up to three years.

Applications will be selected on the basis of academic excellence, research potential and leadership abilities.
Terms and Conditions
- Successful candidates must be nominated by their institution in which they are willing to pursue doctoral study. To be considered for a Vanier CGS, a student must be nominated by only one Canadian university
- Applications must be submitted in either English or French.
