About The Program
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is conducting UPESEAT exam for selection of students who have passed Class 12 examination and would like to pursue their B.Tech programs. The selected students will receive a 50% tuition fee waiver during the first year which can be renewed in the second year. The scholarships are awarded purely on the basis of academic merit only.

To be eligible, the general applicant must:
- Have obtained 80% marks in Class 10th and 12th with 85% in PCM
For Uttarakhand domicile students, the applicants must -
- Have obtained a minimum 80% marks in each of Class 10 and 12 (PCM)
- Have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate)
Benefits
For Uttarakhand domicile students -
- 25% tuition fee waiver for boys and 35% tuition fee waiver for girl students in the first year.
For general students -
- 50% tuition fee waiver on 10% seats in each program in the first year for CBSE, ICSE and State board pass out students.

Note: The scholarship will be renewed in the second semester provided the student obtains SGPA of 8/10. Scholarship in subsequent years will be as per scholarship policy of the University.

Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Visit the web page here and fill out the form.
Step 2: Provide information on name, DOB, email ID, etc.
Step 3: Choose the study program: "B.Tech" and "Undergraduate".
Step 4: Provide the phone number and get an OTP to register.
Step 5: Provide education history, academic history and pay application fees.
Step 6: Submit the form online.

Selection Criteria
Terms and Conditions
- 150 toppers from Uttarakhand board will be awarded a scholarship under the domicile category.
- There will be a merit order allotment of 1 seat per program under the scheme.
- Students will be entitled only for 1 scholarship at a time (either through Uttarakhand Board Merit or through Uttarakhand Domicile category).
- The seats reserved under domicile category will be within the 15% reservation for Uttarakhand Domicile students.
