About The Program

The University of Tokyo invites applications for the Scholarships for International Students in Japan for the year 2017. The purpose of this grant is twofold: to fiscally support Self-Supported and to build the number of graduates from abroad. International students with a College Student Visa who are not receiving the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship nor any governmental scholarship from home are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

How can you apply?

The application can be done by post to the International Liaison Office at the Graduate School of Science only. Following are the steps to be followed while filling the form:

  • One original copy of the Application Form.
  • One letter of recommendation (original) for the Graduate School of Science Scholarship application from a faculty member of your college or university.
