The University of Sydney, Australia invites applications for University of Sydney John Coutts Scholarship 2021 from outstanding undergraduate applicants. This scholarship aims to financially support students of outstanding academic merit undertaking honours study in the Faculty of Science. Selected students will get financial assistance of AUD 7,500.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Have an unconditional offer of full-time admission for appended honours study within the Bachelor of Science (Honours), or embedded honours study within the Bachelor of Advanced Studies
- Have the highest grades in his/her third and final year of the Bachelor of Science
Note - Applicants in combined or double degrees are not eligible for this scholarship.
Benefits The selected scholars will receive AUD 7,500 tenable for one year only.
How can you apply? No application is required, as eligible candidates will be considered automatically.

Application deadline: 15th January 2021
Selection Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit determined by the recipient’s Average Annual Mark (AAM) in their final year of study. The recipient’s Science Weighted Average Mark (SCIWAM) may also be considered.
Terms and Conditions
- The successful candidates will be advised by email prior to or at the start of the relevant semester.
- The scholarship value will be paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
- The scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
- To continue receipt of the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum SAM of 65 for any coursework units of study required as part of their honours program. The recipient must maintain full-time enrolment in their eligible honours program.
- The scholarship will be awarded on the nomination by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, or their nominee.
