About The Program

Henley Business School, University of Reading invites applications for University of Reading Business Informatics, Systems & Accounting PhD Scholarship 2020 from students applying for PhD in Business Informatics, Systems and Accounting in 2020. Selected students will receive full fees and a stipend of up to GBP 15,000 for 1 year.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Have a good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject and a Master’s degree, preferably at distinction level
  • Have received a formal admission letter from the University
  • Meet the English language requirement for the proposed research subject

Selection Criteria

Selection will be made on the basis of admission criteria and documents submitted by the applicant. The scholarships will be allocated on a rolling basis.

Terms and Conditions
  • To be accepted to study for a PhD, applicants will normally need to have an undergraduate degree of at least an Upper Second-class/2.1 (or equivalent) and/or a master's degree, in a subject related to the proposed PhD topic.
  • The majority of  PhD programs require a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 however, some areas require a score of 7.0 these are: Henley Business School (with the exception of Business Informatics and Systems Accounting which accepts 6.5), School of Arts and Communication Design, School of Humanities, School of Languages Literature and European Studies and Institute of Education.
  • If a candidate’s application is successful, the Admissions Office will send him a letter offering a place on the chosen doctoral research programs. The offer may be conditional, for example, on academic criteria, such as degree result, English language proficiency, for international students.
