The University of Melbourne invites applications for University of Melbourne, Stuart Black Memorial Bursary 2020 from second-year visual arts students. The aim of this bursary is to support second-year visual arts students who are underprivileged or not well resourced financially in buying materials for their studies. Selected students will get at least AUD 2,000 under this scheme.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be enrolled in visual arts at the Victorian College of the Arts
- Be Australian/domestic or international student
- Employing traditional media (but 'traditional' does not apply to the subject matter of the work)
- Focus on developing drawing skills and be responsive to extending the media in approach and subject.
Benefits A single payment of AUD 2,000

Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on artistic merit, academic merit, career aspirations, financial need and likely success in completing the proposed course of study.
Terms and Conditions
- Students will be selected by the Dean, on the recommendation of the committee. The successful applicant will be notified via post of the outcome. All other unsuccessful applicants will be emailed.
- Applicants can expect an outcome four weeks after the scholarship closing date.
- One scholarship is available under this scheme.
