University of Essex Merit Scholarship for September 2019, UK

• For Undergraduate courses:
  • The applicants must have scored a minimum of 80% marks in class 12 examination.
  • An overall IELTS score of 6.0 bands with 6.0 bands in each component.
• For Postgraduate courses:
  • The applicants must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in graduation.
  • An overall IELTS score of 6.5 bands with 6.0 bands in each component.

Note: The IELTS requirement can be waived off for applicants who have scored a minimum of 75% marks in English in 12th from either CBSE or ICSE board.

• Undergraduate students will receive a scholarship of GBP 3000.
• Postgraduate students will receive a scholarship of up to GBP 5000.
• The postgraduate courses offered at the University of Essex are for a duration of 2 years with an optional internship for up to 1 year. It is only applicable on selective programs including-
  • MA/Msc Economics with Professional Placement
  • Msc Data Science with Professional Practice
  • LLM International Commercial and Business Law with Professional Placement
  • MSc International Accounting and Banking with Professional Placement
  • MA Translation and Professional Practice with Professional Placement
  • MA Curating with Professional Practice and Professional Placement
  • LLM International Trade and Maritime Law with Professional Placement
• For international students, the university offers guaranteed accommodation in their first year of study (deadlines apply).
• The university campus is close to London and also offers a low cost of living.
• Students have the choice of a wide variety of elective courses which thus provides flexibility.

Step 1: Scholarship application and selection: All applications will be initially processed through Buddy4Study. After filling up the common application form, the Buddy4Study team will conduct a counselling session for the students based on the eligibility criteria of the university.
