To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be domiciled in India
- have received an offer for a full-time undergraduate programme at the University of Birmingham
- meet the specified academic conditions of their offer to the programme
- be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes
- be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered under the scholarship
Note:- Students applying to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), or BDS Dental Surgery courses are ineligible for this scholarship.
Benefits
A total of 20 selected candidates will receive £4,000 (approximately ₹4.3 lakhs) towards tuition fees (for the first year only).

How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the below-mentioned steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to register. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'APPLY NOW THROUGH UCAS' and click on it.
Step 4: Search for the course to be applied, fill in the necessary details, and upload the required documents.
Step 5: Submit the application form.
Step 6: After the successful submission of the application, the candidates are required to submit a scholarship application through one of the local representatives.
Note:- This is a joint award with the university's local representatives and high schools who will be invited to send nominations of the students to the university based on their year 12 scores and scholarship Statement of Purpose.

Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and academic records.
Note:- The University of Birmingham prioritise academic merit in its selection process. Only in rare cases where awardees cannot be determined solely on academic grounds, an online interview will be conducted as an additional assessment step for the selection of the candidates.
Terms and Conditions
- Applicants must have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, along with any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
- Students must pay their tuition fees for the first year by November 1st, 2024, just after starting their studies in September.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with any other award except for scholarships that are being offered respective School/College.
