Umbrella Scheme Pre-Matric ST Scholarship Class 9 and 10, Tripura 2025-26 is an opportunity provided by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in Tripura studying in Class 9 and 10. The scholarship aims to support the education of these students to reduce the incidence of drop-out, especially in the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage. The selected candidates will receive a monthly scholarship of up to ₹525 for 10 months and other grants.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
Note:- Students should not be receiving any other centrally funded pre-matric scholarship.
The selected scholars will receive the following benefits:-

Additional allowances for students with disabilities studying in private unaided schools:-
Additional Disability Allowance: In addition to the scholarship provided in the table above, an additional grant of ₹800 per month (₹9600 annually) will be given to Divyangjan students who are hostelers, and ₹ 600 per month (₹7200 annually) to day scholars. The disability, as defined under the Act, must be certified by a competent medical authority of the State Government/UT Administration. The provisions of disability allowance will also apply to leprosy-cured students and students with sickle cell anaemia or Thalassemia, with the necessary certificate.
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option, as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Step 5: Click on the 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 6: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
Step 7: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
Step 8: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note:- This is a temporary registration number; students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)
Step 9: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
Step 10: Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.
Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

Question: Who is this scholarship for?
Answer: ST students who are currently domiciled in Tripura and are studying in classes 9 & 10 are eligible for this scholarship. The annual family income of the student must be less than/equal to ₹2,50,000 from all sources.
Question: Are all pre-matric students eligible?
Answer: The scholarship is only meant for students of classes 9 and 10.
Question: Do all disabled students who are eligible get an extra allowance under this scholarship?
Answer: Disabled students holding a valid disability certificate and studying in private, unaided schools are eligible to receive extra allowances.
Question: Is the scholarship amount provided throughout the academic year?
Answer: The scholarship amount is provided for 10 months in a particular academic year until the completion of class 10.
Question: If a student repeats a class, will they receive a scholarship for that class?
Answer: No scholarship will be provided for repeating a class. Once the student passes, the scholarship for the next class will be provided up to class 10.
