To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian citizen
- be a domicile of Maharashtra
- belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category
- be pursuing studies at the post-matric level (Class 11 and above) in a government/government-aided/private institution
- have taken admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) process (for professional courses)
- have an annual family income of less than or equal to ₹8,00,000
Note:-
- The applicants must have been admitted to government, government-aided, private non-aided, or private permanently non-aided institutions for professional courses.
- If the applicant is admitted through the Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges entrance examination or through the government common entrance examination, they will be eligible for freeship.
- Applicants who are admitted to deemed universities for professional courses are not eligible.
Benefits
Tuition fees and exam fees are reimbursed to eligible candidates under this scholarship scheme. The reimbursement policy is as follows:

Government, government-approved private non-aided, and permanently non-granted colleges: Students admitted through the CAP round in professional courses are eligible for a 50% reimbursement of tuition fees and exam fees approved by the Education Fee Committee.

Government and aided institutions: Students pursuing professional courses in these institutions are eligible for a 100% reimbursement of tuition fees and exam fees.

Non-government and unaided institutions: Students pursuing professional courses in these institutions are eligible for a 50% reimbursement of tuition fees and exam fees.

OBC applicants in private unaided institutions: For OBC Students pursuing non-professional courses in private unaided institutions, the fee structure of government-aided institutions will be applicable for tuition fees, exam fees, and other fees.
Note:-
- A freeship will be given to the students enrolled in one of the following courses:
- Health Science(Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, Unani, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Business Aid, Nursing)
- Engineering
- Pharmacology
- HMCT (Diploma and Degree)
- MBA/MMS
- MCA
- Scholarship fees will be given to the students pursuing a diploma/degree in one of the following courses:
- Agricultural colleges (diploma)
- Dairy Business Department (diploma)
- Colleges for Agricultural and Allied subjects (degree and postgraduate)
- Agriculture and Bio-Technology Colleges (degree and postgraduate)
- Agriculture and Food Technology Colleges (degree and postgraduate)
Documents
- Caste and income certificate issued by a competent authority
- HSC or SSC marksheet or last examination marksheet
- Gap certificate (Not mandatory, but required in case of a gap)
- Declaration certificate of parents/guardians about the number of children beneficiaries
- Father's death certificate (if applicable)
- Caste validity certificate (for professional courses as per GR dated 31st July 2008)
- CAP Allotment Letter (For professional courses)
- Leaving certificate
- Ration card
How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button at the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the 'Register' button.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password.
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

Terms and Conditions
- A student can apply for the freeship for one educational course at a time.
- An applicant cannot avail freeship for more than two professional courses.
- The applicant must be promoted to the next class for scholarship renewal.
- The applicants pursuing professional courses admitted for the year 2015-16 onwards who fail the examination two or more times in a particular academic course will not be eligible for the freeship.
- If a student fails a particular academic year, they will still receive the tuition fees, exam fees, and maintenance allowance for that year. However, they will not receive any further financial assistance until they have successfully moved on to the next grade level.
- Applicants changing their professional/non-professional course mid-academic year will not be eligible for freeship/scholarship for the new course.
- Scholarships/freeships will continue until the applicant completes one course (e.g., Class 11, 12, Arts, B.A., M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D.). However, if an applicant completes both B.A. and B.Ed. courses and later take admission for M.A., they will not be eligible for scholarship/freeship. But after admission to M.B.A. after B.Ed, they can be eligible for scholarship/freeship as it is a professional postgraduate course.
- If a student is unable to take their annual exams due to a medical condition or an unforeseen event, the college principal may grant them a pass on the condition that they provide satisfactory medical documentation or other sufficient evidence to support their claim.
