About The Program

Trust for Sustainable Living Essay Competition 2017 is inviting students from all over the world. It is a special programme of climate action on which students of age 7 to 11 years can write an essay on topic 'My Plan Climate Action' (maximum 400 words) and for age 11 to 17 years: 'We Can Beat Climate Change by 2030' (maximum 600 words). The prize winner, the teacher champion and parent will win a trip to UK where award ceremony will be held. The winner essay will be published on the competition website as well.

Two category of students who are supported by teacher champions in formal and home schools are eligible to apply:

  • Primary-7 to 11 Years
  • Secondary-11 to 17Years
How can you apply?

The application can be done online only with following steps:

Step 1: Register on this link.

Step 2: Login by using the username and password details which have been sent to you when you registered.

Step 3: Click ‘Add essay’.

Step 4: Paste in essay text and take care by ensuring that the paragraph formatting is maintained.

Step 5: Students of primary-7 to 11 Years will submit the essay about ‘My Plan for Climate Action’ maximum of 400 words.

Step 6: Students of secondary-11 to 17Years ‘We Can Beat Climate Change by 2030’ maximum of 600 words.

Step 7: A maximum of 30 essays can be added for each group.

Step 8: Till midnight on 15th December 2016, essays can be edited, deleted and resaved.

  • A registered teacher champion will play a vital role as students school's representative throughout the contest period.
  • Teacher champions will need to confirm their email addresses. Check messages and respond to follow up email in order to complete the registration process.
  • Each teacher champion will receive a unique username and password, which will be needed to enter competition essays.
