About The Program
TISS Guwahati Summer Internship Programme 2022 is an opportunity offered by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS)*, Guwahati to B.Tech./M.Tech./M.Sc. or final year postgraduate degree students. The selected candidates are required to work on the DST-SERB project - “Occurrence of pharmaceutical and personal care products and Associated Antibiotic Resistance in the Aquatic Environment: A Correlation Perspective with urban Bionetwork” under the POWER scheme at the Centre for Ecology, Environment and Sustainable Development, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati Off-Campus. The selected candidates will receive INR 5,000 per month for two months.
*Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati is an institution set up at the behest of the Government of Assam and the Ministry of Department of North East Region, Government of India.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be a B.Tech./M.Tech/M.Sc. degree (Biotechnology/Microbiology/Environmental Science) student OR
- be a final year postgraduate student from the discipline of Environmental Science/Biotechnology/Microbiology or allied subjects
- have experience in Field sampling, Microbiological studies/antibiotic
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive INR 5,000 per month for two months.
Financial support for other activities like travel, boarding and lodging will not be provided. The student will have to make their own arrangements to stay during the dissertation period.
