The Department of Theoretical Physics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) invites applications for the TIFR Post Doctoral Visiting Fellowships 2019 from applicants holding a PhD in theoretical physics. The institute selects a few visiting postdoctoral fellows each year. The fellows have the opportunity to win multiple awards including a stipend and much more.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility The following applicants are eligible to apply for the scholarship program:
- Should have a PhD degree in Theoretical Physics
OR - Should have submitted a thesis to a recognized PhD-granting institution for such a degree
Benefits The selected fellows will receive the following benefits:
- A fixed stipend
- Medical support inside the campus
- On-campus housing
Documents The following documents are required to be attached along with the application:
- Cover letter
- Curriculum Vitae
- Research statement
- Publication list
- Three reference letters

Step 5: Submit the application.- Should have a PhD degree in Theoretical Physics
Terms and Conditions
- The fellowships are one-year positions but can be renewed for up to a maximum of three years.
- The applicants with more than 1 year of postdoctoral experience and with an exceptional academic record and background will be considered for a prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru post-doctoral fellowship which has an internationally competitive salary.
- Successful applicants will carry out research at the Theoretical Physics department and will have opportunities to collaborate with the members of the department.
