About The Program
The United Nations–Nippon Foundation Fellowship 2026 is offered by the UN-Nippon Foundation. The fellowship provides mid-level professionals from developing states the opportunity to deepen expertise in ocean affairs, maritime governance, and the law of the sea through 9 months of advanced academic and professional training. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend and other benefits.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be between 25 and 45 years of age
- have completed a first-level university degree or equivalent
- demonstrate ability for advanced academic research and studies
- be from a developing state
- be a mid-level government official or professional directly engaged in ocean affairs and/or the law of the sea
Note:- Applicants must be free of non-fellowship obligations during the fellowship period unless otherwise authorised by DOALOS.
