About The Program

Department of Biology, Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram invites applications for The Gandhigram Rural Institute Department of Biology Junior/Senior Research Fellowship 2020 from MSc degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project entitled, "Assessment of population status, In vitro propagation and Restoration of two Endemic and Endangered Rudraksha trees (Elaeocarpus venustus Bedd. and E.munroii Mast.) of Western Ghats". The selected fellows will receive INR 31,000 per month plus 8% HRA for the first two years and INR 35,000 per month plus 8% HRA for the third year.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Hold a first-class MSc degree in Botany, Plant Biotechnology/ Biotechnology or other Plant Sciences with NET/GATE/BET (preferable)
  • Have experience in Forest exploration and Plant Tissue culture
Benefits

The selected fellows will receive INR 31,000 per month plus 8% HRA for the first two years and INR 35,000 per month plus 8% HRA for the third year.
