Telangana Pre-Matric Scholarships For SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare 2023-24 is an initiative of the Government of Telangana for students from Classes 5 to 10. The aim of this scheme is to minimize the incidence of drop-out, especially during the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage and improve the participation of SC students in the Pre-Matric stage. The selected candidates will receive a scholarship up to INR 3,500 and other allowance.
Telangana Pre-Matric Scholarships For SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare 2023-24
Deadline31-Dec-2023 Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be a domicile of Telangana state
- be a student from class 5 to 10
- be a regular and full-time student studying in a Government school or in a school run by local bodies such as Mandal Praja Parishad, Zilla Praja Parishad, Municipalities/Municipal Corporations or any school aided by the Government
- have an attendance of 75% at the end of each quarter
- have anual family income lower than:
- INR 2 lakh for SC/ST category
- INR 1.5 lakh for BC, EBC and minority welfare category of a rural family
- INR 2 lakh for BC, EBC and minority welfare category of an urban family
- INR 1 lakh for disabled welfare category
Benefits The selected candidates will receive the scholarship grants in the following manner:
For Classes 5 to 8
Category Scholarship Amount per Month (for 10 months)
Girls INR 150 Boys INR 100
For Classes 9 and 10Category Scholarship Amount (per month for 10 months) Books and Ad hoc grant (per annum) Day scholars INR 150 INR 750 Hostellers INR 350 INR 1,000 Documents For the registration form, the applicants have to submit scanned copies of the following documents -
- UID (Aadhaar Card) of the applicant
- Passport size image of the applicant student
- Caste and Income Certificate as issued by the Mee-Seva Kendra
- Bank passbook of the student's account (first page) or cancelled cheque (of the same account) [Note - The Bank Account must be in the name of the student along with the Mother/Father/Guardian in case the student is a minor.]
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id.)
Step 3: Navigate to 'Registration' under 'Prematric Scholarships For SC/ST/BC/PWD Students Fresh Registration (2023-24)' section and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all the required details and upload the relevant documents.
Step 5: Submit the application form.

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
- The duly filled applications must be downloaded and copies of all documents as mentioned in e-PASS must be attached and submitted to the school head Master.
- The students must submit a declaration certified by the Head Master stating that they are not receiving any stipend/scholarship from the State or the Central Government.
- The Head Master of the school will verify all the application details and countersign it.
- All the students' applications must be forwarded to the local hostel warden of the Social Welfare Department.
- All the payments under this scheme will be made through the aadhaar authentication framework and encashable by the students through the 'Micro ATM operated by Business Correspondents of Bank.
- A student can withdraw the amount through the Micro ATM by online fingerprint authentication with the UIDA. They can also draw the amount through their ATM Cards where available.
