About The Program

Tel Aviv University (TAU), the largest and most diverse research university in Israel, invites applications from undergraduates and postgraduates for various summer programs for the year 2019. TAU has over 30,000 students across 9 faculties, 125 schools and departments, 130 research institutes, 400 labs and 3500 projects annually. The university provides its students a platform for pursuing technological entrepreneurship as evident from its rank among the top 10 universities in the world to produce the most entrepreneurs (Pitchboook, 2018).

Students selected for the summer programs can benefit from partial scholarships of up to 65% of the program fee. TAU is offering the following summer programs for 2019:

The eligibility criteria for each summer program is given below:

Smart Cities

  • The program is open to Graduate students or to Undergraduate students in the last year of their degree.
  • Accomplished students enrolled at accredited higher education institutions outside of Israel.
  • A minimum GPA of 80 on a scale of 100 or 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent.

Food Safety & Security

  • The program is open to Graduate students with an interest or wider understanding on food safety and security from the following fields: Biology, Public Health and Nutrition, Policy, Economics and Law.
  • A minimum GPA of 80 on a scale of 100 or 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent.

 

Benefits

The students selected for the Summer Programs will be eligible for partial scholarships based on merit. Under the partial scholarships, students can avail a discount of up to 65% on the total cost including tuition, dormitory and medical insurance.

  • Academic transcripts (originals) from all higher education institutions attended including diplomas - A grade point average of 80% (3.0/4.0) and above
  • Two academic recommendation letters
  • Proof of English proficiency (Find details here)
  • Application fee of USD 60

Note: All academic transcripts should be in English (or translated by a notary).

 

How can you apply?

Follow the below steps to apply:

Step 1: Visit the online application portal.
Step 2: Select the country of origin from the drop-down menu and click on 'Submit'.
Step 3: Fill in all the required details to complete the registration process.
Step 4: Once registered, log on to the student portal using the new username and password.
Step 5: Click on 'Apply to a program' in the Quick Links section.
Step 6: Choose the Summer Programs listed under 'Short Term Programs'.
Step 7: Provide necessary details and upload the required documents.
Step 8: Submit the application.
