The TEAGASC Ph.D. Walsh Scholars Opportunity (SCIP) 2025 is a joint research project between Teagasc, University College Dublin (UCD), and Animal Health Ireland. It offers Ph.D. opportunities to individuals holding a Master’s degree in a relevant field. Selected candidates will receive a scholarship of EUR 25,000 and up to EUR 6,000 annually towards fees.
*Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities.

The opportunity is tenable for 4 years. Candidates will join a multidisciplinary team, gaining skills in dairy cow lameness management, research methods, data analysis, and networking while working towards a PhD at a leading Irish university.
