Tata Memorial Centre ACTREC Junior Research Fellowship 2019 invites applications from postgraduates who have completed their M.Sc/M.Tech/MVSc/MPharm. The fellowship offers Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences to the selected candidates.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility - The candidate applying for the fellowship must have secured M.Sc. (Applied Biology/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Life Sciences/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Zoology or related Biological Sciences) or M.Tech. (Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology) or M.V.Sc. or M.Pharm. degree from a recognised university.
- The candidate must have scored 50% or more aggregate marks in postgraduation.
- The applicant who has been awarded a valid JRF after qualifying a national-level written exam conducted by CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ DBT or other recognised agencies is eligible for direct interview.
- The applicant who will receive external fellowship intimation by 30 April 2019 is also eligible for direct interview.
- The candidate having qualified ACTREC's Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) is also eligible for direct interview.
Benefits - The selected candidates will receive a stipend of INR 25,000 per month along with 30% HRA if hostel facility is not allotted.
- The candidates can get admitted into hostel on first come first served basis.
Documents The applicants must keep in ready the scanned copies of the documents mentioned below before filling the application.
- Applicant's recent coloured passport size photograph in JPEG format
- Proof of status in case the applicant belongs to SC/ST/PH
- Proof of valid external fellowship in form of either award letter from funding agency or the hall ticket of the fellowship exam if the applicant is yet to receive the award letter or the screenshot showing candidate’s name in ACTREC’s JGEEBILS shortlist (if applicable)
- A scanned copy of applicant's signature in JPEG format
- Bank demand draft number or Net banking or electronic payment details

Step 3: Fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
Step 4: Click on 'Save' button to submit the form.
Step 5: The applicant receives an email with a username and password on form submission.
Step 6: Use the username and password to login and fill the second page of the application form.

List of candidates eligible for online written test: 7 January 2019
Date of online exam: 25 January 2019
List of qualified students to be displayed: February 2019
List of candidates qualified for direct interview to be displayed: May 2019
Date of direct interview: June 2019
Selection Criteria
The candidates who have cleared the ACTREC entrance test and those who have been selected for direct interviews will have to appear for interviews at ACTREC in June 2019. Based on this interview, the final list of candidates will be released on the website of ACTREC.

- The candidates with less than 50% marks will not be considered for the fellowship.
- The candidates who has done postgraduation of 1 year duration are also not eligible.
- While applying, the candidates must enter the UTR number in the appropriate section in the online form, for example, Account holder/ beneficiary: TMC-ACTREC (Current account)
- Female applicants and SC/ST/Physically handicapped candidates with minimum 40% disability will be exempted from paying the application fee.
