About The Program

Taiwan ICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program 2025 is an opportunity offered by the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF). It provides scholarships to outstanding students for higher education in cooperation with renowned partner universities in Taiwan. The selected candidates will receive a monthly allowance of up to TWD 20,000 and other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a citizen of India
  • secure their highest-level diploma certificate before 31st July 2025
  • fulfil the requirements of the partner university where they have applied to study with the scholarship
  • fulfil the resident visa requirements set by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • fulfil the requirements for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) set by the Ministry of the Interior, of the ROC (Taiwan) government

Note:-

  • Students who previously received a MOFA Taiwan Scholarship, a MOE scholarship, or a TaiwanICDF scholarship must have graduated by 31st July 2024 to be eligible for this scholarship in 2025.
  • Students applying for this scholarship in a row are ineligible in 2025.
  • Students who previously had their scholarship revoked by any ROC (Taiwan) government agency or related institute or expelled from a university are ineligible.
  • Students holding another ROC (Taiwan) government-sponsored scholarship during the TaiwanICDF scholarship are ineligible.
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive:-

  • Economy class airfare to and fro Taiwan
  • Residence in student dormitories
  • Full tuition fee waiver
  • Credit fee waiver
  • Insurance fee for the entire duration of a student’s program
  • The costs of textbooks purchased, subject to the approval of the director of the institute
  • A fixed monthly allowance to the student's local bank account for food and living costs in the following way: 
    • Master's Program: TWD 18,000
    • Ph.D. Program: TWD 20,000

  • English language proficiency certificate

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can follow these steps to apply:-
Step 1:
Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Click 'TaiwanICDF Scholarship Online Application System'.
Step 4: Follow the specified steps to submit the application.

Note:-

  • Applicants must submit a separate application to their chosen university before the respective university deadline.
  • Detailed information about the university applications is available in the 'University Details' document below.

Application Deadline: 15 March 2025
Informing of Final Candidates by: 10 June 2025

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected by the following process:

  • Application review by the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/Office
  • Recommendation by the Joint Recruitment Committee
  • Informing and delivering acceptance letters to final candidates by TaiwanICDF

Selected candidates must review and sign the consent form, then submit it to the TaiwanICDF via the R.O.C. Embassy/Representative Office in their country. Signing indicates acceptance of the TaiwanICDF Scholarship terms and confirms official scholarship status.
