About The Program

Symbiosis Society Foundation introduces Sports Scholarships 2018 for prospective and bonafide sportsperson studying at  Symbiosis International University. The interested students can apply between 1st July 2018 to 31st July 2018. The objective of this scholarship is to acknowledge the talents of young sportspersons at inter-university, state and national levels.

In order to be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be a prospective or bonafide student of Symbiosis International University.
  • Be proficient in any of the following disciplines of sports-
    • Priority Disciplines: Cricket, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Tennis, Shooting, Swimming, Table-Tennis, Volleyball, Wrestling, Squash.
    • Other Disciplines: Chess, Billiards & Snookers, Boxing, Equestrian, Golf, Kayaking & Canoeing, Powerlifting, Weight Lifting & Best Physique, Softball, Judo.

In order to apply, follow the steps given below:

Note: Along with the application form, the participants must attach the photocopies of the press cuttings and the certificates, duly authenticated by their respective State Association or the Principal of their school/college.

Terms and Conditions

Documents required:

  • Two written references (from a teacher/coach/national Governing Body).
  • One signed passport photo.

Award details:

  • The selected candidate will get INR 2000 per month i.e. INR 24000 pa.
  • The duration of the scholarship will be of one year and it will be renewed every year if the candidate will fulfill the eligibility conditions like maintaining or improving excellence in his/her respective games, passing the last annual examination without any backlog etc.
  • The scholarships will be given as per the performance of the sportsperson in recognized competitions occurred between the previous two calendar years.
