About The Program

Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities, West Bengal 2018 is a scheme for meritorious students whose family income is less than INR 2.5 lakh per annum. The scheme is totally revamped in the year 2016 to cover more minority students to get benefitted and also the amount of the scholarship increases significantly. The applicant must be studying in class 11-12 and undergraduate and postgraduate level courses including Engineering, Medical, Technical / Professional courses, MPhil, and Doctoral courses.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • Students having domicile of West Bengal, studying in West Bengal only.
  • Students at the higher secondary level, diploma must have at least 75% marks in class 10 excluding optional subjects.
  • Students at the undergraduate level must have at least 75% marks in class 12 including two language subjects on five subjects.
  • Students at postgraduate level must have at least 53% marks in graduation in case of general education or 55% marks in case of engineering.
  • Annual family income must not exceed INR 2,50,000.
Benefits
  • HS- INR 1000 per month.
  • Under graduation (Polytechnic)- INR 1500 per month.
  • Under graduation (Medical- Degree)- INR 5000 per month.
  • Under graduation (Medical- Diploma)- INR 1500 per month.
  • Under graduation (Engineering under AICTE), post graduation (Engineering under AICTE) and professional (under AICTE)- INR 5000 per month.
  • Under graduation courses (Arts, Commerce)- INR 1000 per month.
  • Under graduation course (Science, professional courses under UGC)- INR 1500 per month.
  • Post graduation courses (Arts, Commerce)- INR 2000 per month.
  • Post graduation courses (Science, professional courses under UGC)- INR 2500 per month.
  • Non-NET MPhil/ Non-NET PhD- INR 5000 to 8000 per month.
Documents

Documents to be attached while filling the form:

  • Both side of the Mark sheet of the last examination.
  • Admit card of madhyamik or equivalent examination.
  • Income certificate in the prescribed format.
  • First page of bank passbook mentioning clearly the A/C no. and IFSC details.
  • Voter Id/Aadhaar card etc.
  • Recent Photograph(size must between 100 to 120KB).
  • Institute verification form duly authenticated by the Head of the Institution (HOI) in the prescribed format.
