Swami Dayanand Education Foundation Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2023-24 is an initiative of Swami Dayanand Education Foundation (SDEF) to provide financial assistance to students pursuing professional courses, including engineering, medical, architecture, etc., and other undergraduate programs at government or private institutions in India. The objective of SDEF is to support exceptionally talented students facing financial constraints, enabling them to pursue and complete their college education. Selected candidates will receive up to INR 50,000 per annum or up to INR 2 lakh over the duration of their degree to continue their higher studies.
About SDEF
Swami Dayanand Education Foundation, initiated by Mr. Ashutosh Garg and its founder trustees in 2015, was founded with a noble mission to offer scholarships to college students in India and the United States. Since its establishment, the foundation has been dedicated to making a quality college education attainable and within reach for all deserving students, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Deadline31-Aug-2018 Eligibility Read MoreAn applicant must -- Be pursuing an MBBS, Engineering, IT, Pharmacy and Architecture course from a government or private institution in India by passing a competitive examination conducted by Central/State Board
- Have gross annual family income less than INR 6 Lac from all sources
- Have secured 85% marks in class 12
- Have obtained minimum 25,000 rank in JEE (Main) or minimum 10,000 rank in JEE (Advanced)
- Have obtained a Grade Point Average of at least 7.5 in 10 points scale system (for students in their second or third year of graduation program)
- Not be in receipt or intent to receive any other financial assistance/scholarship from any other source.
Note: The students who are getting reimbursement of tuition fees/fee waiver can apply for the scholarship.Benefits: A total of 200 scholarships are being offered to students under the following categories:- Smt. Shyam Lata Garg Scholarships - INR 50,000 per annum
- Sh. Anand Swarup Garg Scholarships - INR 25,000 per annum
- Sh. Ram Lal Gupta Scholarships - INR 20,000 per annum
- Smt. Lilawanti Himatlal Desai Scholarships - INR 20,000
- Smt. Indira Jayendrakumar Shah - INR 20,000
- Smt. Shanti Devi Scholarships - INR 17,500 per annum
- Sh. Ram Ji Lal Scholarships - INR 15,000 per annum

Benefits: Below is the scholarship fund allocation for various categories of students and courses, including JEE/NEET rank holders, professional degree programs, and general degree courses:
For JEE/NEET Rank Holders:
- Ranks 1-500: INR 2 lakh for four years
- Ranks 501-1500: INR 1.6 lakh for four years
- Ranks 1501-3000: INR 1.2 lakh for four years
For Professional Degree Courses: INR 80,000 for four years
For General Degree Courses: INR 10,000 per annum
NOTE: The scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the bank accounts of the respective educational institutions.
