About The Program

The Sussex India Scholarship (Undergraduate) 2025 is offered by the University of Sussex to support high-achieving students from India who wish to pursue a full-time Bachelor's degree program. This scholarship aims to make world-class education at Sussex more accessible for talented Indian students. The selected students will receive a GBP 4,500 tuition fee reduction.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an Indian citizen
  • be classified as overseas for fee purposes
  • be self-financing their tuition fee
  • hold an offer to study a full-time Bachelor’s degree at University of Sussex

Note:- Ineligibility criteria include:-

  • applying for a Bachelor's at a university other than Sussex
  • progressing into the final year of an integrated Master's at Sussex
  • progressing from the University of Sussex International Study Centre (ISC)
  • already holding another University of Sussex scholarship
  • pursuing any of the following:
    • Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
    • Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
    • PGCE courses
    • Schools Direct teaching courses
    • Degree apprenticeship courses
    • Postgraduate diplomas

The selected students will receive a GBP 4,500 towards tuition fee waiver.

  • Proof of citizenship (e.g. Passport)
  • Personal statement
  • University acceptance letter
  • English Language proficiency (if English is not an applicant’s first language)
How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: There is no separate application. Students holding an offer and meeting eligibility criteria will be considered for the scholarship after receiving an offer to study at Sussex.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on academic merit, financial independence, and supporting documents like your Statement of Purpose.

Terms and Conditions
  • This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship funded by the University of Sussex, including the Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
  • To be eligible, students must be self-funded. If their tuition fees are being paid by a sponsor, employer, or any external funding body, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
  • The scholarship is applied as a tuition fee discount for each year of full-time study at Sussex. It does not apply to placement or study abroad years.

Note:- Dual nationals must provide proof of Indian nationality (such as a passport or official ID) to receive the Sussex India Scholarship. If applying for a UK Student Visa with another passport, evidence of Indian citizenship may also be required during the visa process and upon arrival, as the scholarship is noted in the CAS document.
