About The Program

State Minority Scholarship for Pursuing Higher Professional Education Scholarship (Part I) 2024-25 is an initiative of the Minority Development Department, Government of Maharashtra to provide financial aid to students belonging to religious minority communities for pursuing professional or technical degree/diploma courses. The selected students will receive up to ₹50,000 per annum or actual tuition and exam fees (whichever is less).

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-May-2025

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an Indian citizen
  • be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • belong to minority communities including Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Jain, and Jewish
  • have passed SSC from Maharashtra 
  • have taken admission in professional or technical diploma/degree courses
  • hold a bonafide certificate from the respective institution 
  • have got admission through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP)/Institute Level
  • have an annual family income not exceeding ₹8,00,000
Benefits

The selected students will receive a maximum scholarship amount of ₹50,000 per annum or actual tuition fees, whichever is less.

Documents
  • Domicile certificate
  • Marksheet of the previous examination
  • Residence proof such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Electricity bill, etc.
  • Educational certificate - SSC (Class 10) and onwards
  • Income and Minority declaration - Affidavit on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper or Income certificate from the employer, if any

Note:- A school leaving certificate can also be considered as Proof of Minority or Self Declaration.

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button at the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the  'Register' button.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password. 
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
