About The Program
State Merit Scholarship for UG Girls Students, Haryana 2023-24 is an opportunity offered by the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana to girl students pursuing general degree courses. Under this scheme, annual financial assistance will be provided to students to pursue higher education. The selected candidates will receive INR 3,000 per annum.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be a domicile of Haryana
- have passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks
- be pursuing general degree courses in any government college
Note - The candidates who are pursuing their studies through correspondence courses/open universities will not be eligible for the award.
Benefits
A total of 10 selected girl candidates will receive INR 3,000 per annum.

How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply for the opportunity by following the below-mentioned steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id.)
Step 3: Navigate to 'Student Registration' at the top of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Enter the Parivar Pehchaan Patra (Family Id), a list of members will be displayed, select the name of the applicant, and click on the 'Generate OTP' button.
Step 5: Enter the OTP received on the registered Mobile No. and Click on the 'Verify OTP' button.
Step 6: After OTP Verification, all the details get auto-filled in the Registration Form, and cross-check the information.
Step 7: Select the Department and College, create a password and click on the 'Register' button.
Step 8: Click the login link at the portal and enter valid credentials to apply for the scholarship.
Step 9: Provide all necessary details like course, roll no., eligibility etc.
Step 10: Click on the 'Apply' button to save and submit the application.

- There is no income limit for this scheme.
- The scholarship will be awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the institution, forwarded with the complete documents on the prescribed proforma. In respect of the eligible candidate, the awarding authority prescribed it before the due/prescribed date every year.
- The scholarship shall be cancelled if the particulars furnished in the declaration/application form is found to be incomplete/incorrect.
- The scholarship will not be renewed if the scholar is found to be ineligible at any stage due to any reason.
- The scholarship can be changed at any time at the discretion of the government.
- The Principals will send the list of awardee students to the Directorate along with the receipt as proof of the amount paid.
- A scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other scholarship/stipend. However, they may accept a grant of minority help from the State Govt. or any other source for the purchase of books and equipment or for meeting the expenses of boarding and lodging.
