About The Program

State Horticulture Scholarship, Nagaland 2026 is offered by the Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland. The scholarship is a financial support program designed to assist indigenous students of Nagaland pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD. in horticulture courses. The department aims to promote the overall development of the horticulture sector by supporting students to achieve their maximum potential through quality education. The selected students will receive financial assistance from the Government of Nagaland.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an indigenous inhabitant of Nagaland
  • be pursuing a B.Sc. Hons. or M.Sc. or PhD in Horticulture
  • be enrolled in a UGC-recognised institution
  • not be receiving any other form of financial assistance in the form of a scholarship/stipend from any other sources
  • have at least 75% attendance in classes
  • not be a repeater in the same class
Benefits

The selected students will receive financial assistance to support for the following duration:

  • B.Sc. (Horticulture): 4 years
  • M.Sc. (Horticulture): 2 years
  • Ph.D. (Horticulture): 3 years

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-

Step 5: Verify your mobile and provide your details like name, email, and password.
Step 6: Log in with your credentials.
Step 7: Fill in your personal information, including name, date of birth, gender, category, and bank account details.
Step 8: Select the scholarship scheme, institution, state, and district.
Step 9: Upload the necessary documents.
Step10: Verify and click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Candidates will be selected based on eligibility criteria.

  • The scholarship/stipend will be discontinued if the applicant leaves the institution, discontinues studies, accepts any other scholarship, or fails to secure 75% attendance in classes.
  • Stamped signatures will not be accepted on the Institution Verification Form.
  • The official seal of the Head of Institution and the round seal of the institution are compulsory.
  • Application forms will be rejected if found incomplete or if there are signs of overwriting.
  • Application forms will be rejected if the full address and particulars of the institution are not clearly indicated.
