About The Program

The Stanford Next Asia Policy Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026-28 is offered by the Stanford Next Asia Policy Lab (SNAPL) at the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Centre (APARC), Stanford University. The fellowship supports emerging scholars engaged in interdisciplinary, problem-oriented, and policy-relevant research on Asia’s contemporary challenges. Selected fellows will receive USD 80,000 per year plus benefits and access to Stanford research facilities for a two-year appointment.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • To be eligible, an applicant must:-
  • have completed a Ph.D. degree within three years of the fellowship,
  • hold a Ph.D. in social sciences, humanities, or related disciplines, with demonstrated interest in Asian policy research
  • show strong academic merit, research productivity, and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
  • have their dissertation submitted and approved for conferral by June 30, 2026, and certification of degree completion submitted no later than August 31, 2026
