About The Program

The Stanford Fisher Family Fellows Program 2026 is offered by the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law (CDDRL) at Stanford University. This prestigious fellowship provides emerging global leaders with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, leadership skills, and practical experience in promoting democratic governance, the rule of law, and sustainable development. Selected fellows will get lodging, meals, and transport during a three-week training at Stanford on democracy and development.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a mid-career professional, policymaker, academic, or civil society leader working on issues related to democracy, development, or governance
  • have leadership potential and a proven track record of professional accomplishment
  • have a working knowledge of the English language
Benefits

Selected fellows will receive accommodation, meals, and transportation costs for the duration of the program, and will attend a three-week intensive academic training at Stanford University, engaging with world-renowned scholars and policymakers to deepen their understanding of democracy and development challenges.
