St Mary's University Sports Scholarships 2025

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• Gold Scholarship:
  • be student athletes with the ability to compete at the Olympic or Paralympic Games (Note:- Preferably who have already represented their country at senior international level in a sport) OR
  • be athletes in a non-Olympic sport, provided they compete at a comparable level and in a British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) sport
• Silver Scholarship:
  • be student athletes who are competing at a minimum of junior national/international level or equivalent 
  • be able to demonstrate how they can contribute to success for St Mary’s in BUCS competitions
• Bronze Scholarship:
  • currently competing at a minimum of county or regional level and commit to competing in BUCS competitions OR
  • are currently competing at a minimum of national or junior national level in a non-BUCS or non-Olympic sport OR
  • can significantly contribute to the student sport programme

The selected candidates will receive:-

• Financial support of up to:
  • GBP 2,000 - for Gold scholarships
  • GBP 1,500 - for Silver scholarships
  • GBP 1,000 - for Bronze scholarships
• Free gym membership
• Strength and conditioning services
• Student massage clinic
• Nutrition and psychology support from MSc students
• Performance lifestyle support services
• Sport Scholar jumper
