Award Details
- The top 100 essays will be selected by the jury who will qualify as the "Leaders of Tomorrow". They will be paid expenses for travel, boarding and lodging for participation in 48th St. Gallen Symposium on 2 - 4 May 2018.
- The top three winners will be endowed a prize money of CHF 30,000 based on their quality of idea on the paper.
- The very best competitors (including the winners) will also get an opportunity to present their ideas on a big platform at the symposium.
Essay Rules
- The applicants are required to write a creative, thought-provoking and professional essay answering the question given below -
"Robots are coming for your job. How do you augment yourself to stay economically relevant?"
- The essay should be bold, distinctive and unconventional in terms of ideas.
- It should be written in the English language in not more the 2100 words.
- It should not contain the name of the participant anywhere.
- Only individual works are expected. The author's own idea must be presented in the essay written exclusively for the contest.
- The participants are also required to cite and refer all the sources in the respective part of the essay.
- It should be plagiarism free.
Documents Required
- Scanned copy of passport or any other identification (preferably in English for participants of non-Roman languages).
- Confirmation of matriculation, or
- Confirmation or enrolment in a graduate or postgraduate degree program as of 1 February 2018.
- Contribution file containing essay with no indication of participant's name in the file, its metadata or in its name.
